Our Story

“Helping Hands From Your Hometown"

Homestead Physical Therapy started as a small dream turned into a big reality for me. As a fourth generation resident I have a tremendous love and respect for my hometown.

My vision is to create something new that honors the past and the hometown I grew up in, but also recognizes the growth, development and diversity the community of Watford City is experiencing.

My goal is to create a physical therapy experience that prioritizes customized patient care for every unique patient and their needs.

My entire staff values getting to know our patients, on a deep and personal level so we can establish a personalized treatment plan to reach our patients’ specific goals.  As a hometown girl I am excited to give back to the community, friends and family that helped raise me.

Sincerely,
Kordae Hayden (Hartel)

Homestead Physical Therapy's Journey

2012
Kordae sustained a knee injury while on a skiing trip which required surgery and physical therapy rehabilitation. Kordae saw the impact physical therapy can make on one’s life and started to dream about pursuing physical therapy as a career and someday opening her own physical therapy clinic in her hometown.
Kordae graduated Watford City High School and began her college career at the University of Mary in the Athletic Training Program.
2016
2019
Kordae became a Certified Athletic Trainer and graduated with her Bachelors in Athletic Training in spring of 2019. In the fall of 2019, she began her journey in the University of Mary Physical Therapy program.
Kordae finished her final physical therapy clinical in Watford City as a student under her now co-worker, McKayla Haugeberg. After passing her Physical Therapy Boards, she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

After years of dreaming and a year of planning, Kordae finally opened the doors to Homestead Physical Therapy.

Our Difference

The thing that makes Homestead Physical Therapy different than what many people have experienced in physical therapy is our commitment to creating an exceptional experience for our patients.

This starts from the first phone call. We don’t use automated phone systems that confuse patients. You will speak to a real person, who truly cares about you and will do everything they can to gather your information, schedule you promptly, and find you an appointment time that works in your busy schedule.

When you enter our clinic you will continue to notice differences from other physical therapy clinics. Our clinic is warm and inviting and you will be greeted with a smile. Our clinic is very open and spacious. No more being stuffed in a little room with a curtain separating you from everyone else. Also no more being lost in a big gym with equipment you aren’t comfortable with and don’t know how to use. Our equipment is specifically designed for physical therapy and rehabilitation, not general gym use.

As you meet with your therapist for your examination, we will design a customized rehabilitation program based on your specific needs and goals, not some cookie cutter, one size fits all approach. Our physical therapists will spend the time necessary with you during every appointment so you don’t feel hurried or rushed through your care. We know you are taking time out of your busy schedule to come to physical therapy appointments and it is our job to make sure that every appointment is well planned and thought out. Our goal is to help you achieve the best possible outcome for you or your loved ones. We know good physical therapy can have a lifelong impact on patients and it our job to provide it!
